Harvesting the Beans
It looks like tomorrow we will get our first harvest of green beans! I am quite excited. I am not sure how to tell when the onions are done but I will probably pull one tomorrow to see if they are ready. If they are, I will suddenly have a LOT of onions on my hands. But who can complain about that!
The rest of the pictures are of the garden - you can see the basil and red leaf lettuce are doing great. As are the squash and cucumbers.
It has so far been a great growing season. We have had pretty mild weather for us and some heavy rain in between bright sunny days.

Update
Everything is growing! We put the trellis up for the beans and peas. They are doing great! This first picture is the squash, the next basil, then the thyme and red leaf lettuce (with chili plants growing behind them) and finally the beans and peas on one side and the onions behind them.

The Oasis
The garden is thriving in the back yard. I have finally replaced the plants that died this winter in the "Oasis." This picture is from the window right next to my desk. Jimmy named it "The Oasis," which so far has been mostly a sardonic remark since most of the plants were lost in the snow this winter.
Maybe this spring it will redeem its' beauty and become the true oasis!
